Market Umbrella is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3), based in New Orleans, whose mission is to cultivate the power of farmers markets to drive economic and community health in the region. Market Umbrella has operated the Crescent City Farmers Markets (CCFM) since 1995.
Thursday Market is operating within its regular hours of 3pm to 7 pm to accommodate the return of Daylight Saving.
Market Mommas Club FAQs
What is Market Mommas Club?
Market Mommas Club is a breastfeeding nutrition incentive program open to lactating parents and lactating parents-to-be who are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed and are currently eligible for Louisiana Medicaid or WIC. Market Mommas Club members are to attend an approved partner's breastfeeding support group once a month to receive their incentive. Members receive a $60 incentive each month for up to six months or until the program ends. These incentives are redeemable in person at Crescent City Farmers Market or by enrolling in automatic delivery via Top Box Foods.
Who is Eligible to Participate?
Pregnant or breastfeeding persons eligible for WIC and/or Medicaid with newborns up to 6 months old.

Contact New Orleans Breastfeeding Center or NOLA Baby Cafe to find groups or classes that work best with your schedule.
How Long Can I Receive This Incentive?
Participants are eligible to be MMC members for up to 6 months.
How Do I Recive My Incentive at the Market?
- Attend a breastfeeding support group & be sure to sign in!
- Visit the CCFM Welcome Tent
- Let CCFM staff member know you are a Market Momma
- Provide electronic membership card (QR code) and verify email address*
- Receive $60 incentive in CCFM tokens
- Spend your tokens at the Crescent City Farmers Market
