rules and regulations

All particpants in the Crescent Fund must read and agree to the rules and regulations below.

By submitting an application with your signature, you agree to the rules and regulations.

1.    Submit completed application form to the offices of marketumbrella.org via market, email, fax or snail mail

2.    Applications must include name, business name (if applicable), phone number, mailing address, social security number/tax ID number and signature [electronic signatures are accepted]

3.    Applications will be sorted by marketumbrella.org staff and board to determine which proposals most benefit the “triple-bottom-line”

4.    Applications will be voted on by the market community and members of the Crescent Fund

5.    Lobbying is allowed on voting days only, at least 20 feet from the voting booth, as long as it does not interfere with market transactions

6.    By submitting a proposal, you agree that the content of the proposal may be shared publicly (not including personal information like mailing address, phone number, email, SS# or tax ID number)

7.    marketumbrella.org may offer up to 3 Requests For Proposals per year. For each proposal cycle we will award up to three recipients - with no award being larger than $500, total awards up to $1,500 per award cycle

8.    Cash infusions will be awarded to winning proposals according to election results

9.    One cash infusion per individual, company or organization per year

10.  Infusions will be awarded to recipient within 10 business days in the form of a check sent by mail

11.    Recipients will be asked to share their results with marketumbrella.org within three months of the award of the cash infusion through a news clipping, a picture with a written description or another creative way to tell us how things went

12.    Cash infusion to be returned within 6 months through time, treasure or talent according to application specifications

13.    Awards to marketumbrella.org board members, staff members and their immediate family are prohibited
