From Public Assistance to Private Enterprise
In our 2000 Greenpaper, we share our lessons from a three-year, USDA Community Food Project to enable a group of public housing residents to establish their own micro enterprise that uses a farmers' market as an initial point of distribution. Today, they are a thriving vendor at the Crescent City Farmers Market.
